I called Miss Carter today ....
And I had the most weird experience most attorneys will just charge you for a phone conversation give you a price and go on and on and on about hours and what it would cost you and so forth but Tara Carter Gave me 20 minutes basically told me to keep my money in my pocket until further needed so my response is .... thank you .... does anyone know an attorney that honest ? Amazing Gave me great legal advice I'm almost sad to say that really at the end of the conversation I wanted to give her money because I trusted her that much so hands-down I'll give this lady five stars ..... Professional and Caring - a Rare Combination
Tara was not only concise and attentive to explain my legal concerns, she was actually concerned about me, and I never felt like I was just another number. She went out of her way to explain and direct me when I was unsure about which direction to go and was a true and trusted counsel in a time of uncertainty.

If you are looking for a lawyer who is both knowledgeable and compassionate, I cannot recommend Tara enough. She made sure my legal proceeding was as smooth as it could possibly be and even though there were some anxious moments, I believe my experience would have been much more stressful if I had not been lucky enough to have had her representing me.

My Light at the End of a Tunnel and Super Lawyer
Tara cleared a lot of my fear and tears away with her professionalism, concerns, and knowledge of the law. She was very attentive to me as a client. Her careful listening and advisement were superb. It began with her careful explanation of the law and hard work, and she was spot on with leadership to this naïve client. She was extremely responsive to me with emails and calls without delays. Great Attorney to Ease our Minds
My Husband and I knew that we needed to start thinking about our wishes and finances later in life. The whole process of creating a will and power of attorney confused us. Tara Carter put our minds at rest from the first time I spoke with her. She walked us through the entire process of creating all the documents that we needed. We learned so much and are very confident that our wishes will be carried out now that we have a professional Living Will, Last Will, and Power of Attorney over Finance and Health. She took the time to explain everything and always made us feel like a top priority. Even when we went to her office to sign the documents, the entire Firm seemed friendly and very welcoming. Excellent Probate and Estate Attorney
When my mother passed, I was overwhelmed with all of the Legal matters that came along with an estate. I was recommended by a co worker to The Higgins Firm and specifically Tara Carter. I called the Firm and was relieved to just hear an actual person, and not an automated machine. Difficult Times
When encountered with a tough time in my life, my mother's passing, I was forced to push on and get her matters in order. When my father passed away, our family wasn't prepared to handle the legal issues that followed. Luckily we found Tara! She was able to talk us through what needed to be done and reassured us that she would work as hard as she could to meet our goals. Helped probate of my father's estate
Tara Hawley Carter helped me with probate of my father's estate. I only had to appear in court one time. Tara handled all of the rest and was able to get some of the claims dismissed. I would have never believed that would happen. She was patient and made sure I knew what was going on at all times. She answered my questions quickly. I needed some help with a small estate affidavit after my father passed. I live out of the state of Tennessee making it very difficult to get straight answers from anyone and eventually finding that a couple lawyers were trying to nickel and dime me - starting with one price and then coming back with another. Then I found Tara. She was the answer to my prayers: upfront, informative, confident, and most importantly, honest. She quoted me a flat fee for the work and filing fees for probate court, she constantly kept me informed with paperwork updates and the like. She was empathic to the fact that I was dealing with a stressful situation. The human element of the law is hard to find sometimes. I really appreciated that coming from Tara. She's got a great sense of humor, too, which is usually important in times like these. She takes her work very seriously. She also - after no longer being her client - answered my emails full of questions and met with me to go over things in person once I'd gotten into town. I thought she was great and I feel so lucky to have found her. I'd definitely recommend Tara.
